"Today, the IT sector accounts for 4% of GDP. It employs 150,000 specialists with very high salaries, who form the middle class. This sector needs to focus on the formation of a system of products that will boost the efficiency of many other traditional industries by many times. Together with the National Bank, we need to ensure the best conditions for the creation of highly profitable projects that will provide new jobs," he said at a government meeting on February 13.

Kubiv also mentioned the development of the agro-industrial complex, the IT sector, aircraft building, tourism, and infrastructure among the government's priorities.

"I want to say we will develop innovations and support investment. At the same time, we see the agricultural complex, the IT sector, aircraft building, tourism, infrastructure, etc. as our priorities," he added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko named the agro-industrial complex, engineering, logistics, tourism and the IT sector among the five priority sectors that will help Ukraine make a breakthrough and become a leader.
