The training program will allow Ukrenergo to better understand trends and developments on the European energy market.
Deputy CEO of Ukrenergo for Communications and International Cooperation Mykhailo Bno-Airiian and ENTSO-E Secretary General Laurent Schmitt signed an agreement in Brussels (Belgium) on February 13 on the participation of Ukrenergo – the state-owned operator of Ukraine's united power grids – in the ENTSO-E Cooperation Beyond Membership Program for 2019-2021.

The program, which was signed with the participation of Chairman of Ukrenergo's Supervisory Board Sevki Acuner, is aimed at strengthening cooperation with transmission system operators through specialized targeted training.
The key components of the Ukrenergo-ENTSO-E partnership program are the study of experience of operation and trends in the development of the European energy market, as well as training of personnel. In particular, the program provides for the participation of Ukrenergo employees in training, workshops, covering the development of electricity market, overload management, transmission capacity distribution, the integration of renewables, ensuring the flexibility of the power grids, market integration, development of auxiliary services, e-data exchange on the electricity market, transparency and cybersecurity, power grids development planning, introduction of innovations, etc.
The training program will allow Ukrenergo to better understand trends and developments on the European energy market where Ukraine's power grid will be integrated into.
"The unique ENTSO-E Cooperation Beyond Membership Program will allow better understanding of the processes and practices of the energy system of continental Europe and deepen our cooperation with ENTSO-E," Bno-Airiian said.
