Ukrnafta increases oil production in January

Gas output last month was up 7.4%, to 98.8 million cubic meters.

Ukraine's largest oil producer, Ukrnafta, in January 2019 increased oil and condensate production, compared with the same period in 2018, by 4.4%, up to 128,000 tonnes, the company press service wrote.

According to the report, the company's gas production in January 2019 was up 7.4%, to 98.8 million cubic meters.

Oil production in January 2019, against December 2018, increased by 3.3%, while gas production was also raised by 3.3%.

Daily production of hydrocarbons increased similarly, amounting to 4,100 tonnes per day  for oil and condensate) and 3.2 million cubic meters per day for gas.

"The company continues to increase hydrocarbon output, working effectively with the existing well stock. Higher production figures are achieved through repairing prospective wells and taking measures to intensify production, including key-and-blasting operations using more efficient foreign-made perforation systems," reads the statement.

It is reported that in February, production figures keep growing. As of February 14, the average daily output rate for oil and condensate was 4,200 tonnes, and for gas it was 3.2 million cubic meters.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrnafta in 2018 boosted oil and condensate production by 5% from 2017 to 1.448 million tonnes, reducing gas output by 2.3% to 1.082 billion cubic meters (bcm).

Ukrnafta is one of the key players in the retail market for petroleum products in Ukraine: the company owns more than 560 fuel filling stations throughout the country.
