Ukrainian enterprises located in Russia-occupied parts of Donbas continue paying taxes to Ukraine's national budget.

"These are billions [of hryvnias]. It's about [UAH] 7 billion or 8 billion [up to UAH 295 million] paid to the national and local budgets," head of Ukraine's State Treasury Service Tetiana Slyuz told UNIAN.

She explains that those are the enterprises that have been reregistered in the Ukrainian-controlled territory, but their production capacities remain in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"The amount of funds received is credited to the accounts of the military-civil administrations of the respective regions," she said.

She says the State Treasury does not make any budget payments in the occupied territories.

As UNIAN reported, according to the State Treasury, Ukraine in 2017 received a little more than UAH 1 billion, or US$37 million, in taxes from the occupied districts of Donetsk region and slightly less than this amount from the occupied districts of Luhansk region.
