"When our government took office, the minimum wage was about $50, and now it reached $150. So, it has tripled," he said, as reported by the Ukrainian government portal on February 23.

The official says the average salary in Ukraine shows the same dynamics, as now it exceeds $380 in the US dollar equivalent, which is twice as much as the figure reported three years ago.

"I realize that this [salary] is also small, but we are moving forward. The government's policy has enabled the National Bank to create reserves exceeding $20 billion as of the beginning of the year. This is a record high figure in the last five years. The inflation rate is now less than 10%, although in 2015, it exceeded 40%," he added.

The head of government also stressed the need to continue determined policy, maintain financial stability and strengthen economic growth.
