It turned out the channel for smuggling medications to the EU was organized by an employee of the State Fiscal Service.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have revealed a major ring smuggling to the European Union potent drugs banned from free circulation both in Ukraine and abroad.
The criminal scheme was set up by an employee of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in Lviv region, the SBU press service reports.
To find customers, together with its accomplices, the perpetrator created a number of websites.
"The criminals would send ordered drugs to their customers from Ukraine and the European Union countries via postal operators, indicating false data about the content of shipments, or hiding the drugs inside other objects," the report reads.
Searches are ongoing, while suspicion notices have already been handed down to persons involved in the scheme.
