Ukrainian banks in 2018 posted record high profit.
Operating Ukrainian banks posted UAH 5.426 billion, or US$201 million, in net profit in January 2019, which was three times up on the same period last year.
In particular, banks' revenue grew by 38.2%, to UAH 20.180 billion, or US$747.4 million, while spending increased by 14.3%, to UAH 14.754 billion, or US$546.4 million.

Ukraine's banking system in 2018 posted record high profit after four years when it reported losses. Its profit was estimated at UAH 21.7 billion, US$803.7 million.
