The deficit of foreign trade in commodities over the period under review decreased by 44.5%, to $314 million.
The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods and services in January 2019 was estimated at US$247 million, which was 56.5% down year-over-year (y-o-y).
The deficit of foreign trade in commodities over the period under review decreased by 44.5%, to $314 million, while the surplus of foreign trade in services increased almost three times, to $67 million, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

As UNIAN reported earlier, according the National Bank of Ukraine, the deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods and services in 2018 totaled $11.492 billion, which was 32.9% up from the deficit recorded at $8.644 billion in 2017.
