Budget revenue in Ukraine grows by 7.8% in Jan-Feb, to almost US$4.8 bln

The national budget's general fund in February 2019 alone received UAH 67.7 billion ($2.5 billion).

The State Fiscal Service (SFS) says Ukraine's national budget revenue, controlled by the SFS, in January-February 2019 grew by 7.8% year-over-year (y-o-y), to UAH 129.8 billion, or US$4.8 billion.

The national budget's general fund in February 2019 alone received UAH 67.7 billion ($2.5 billion), which was 12.3% or UAH 7.4 billion ($275.5 million) up y-o-y, the report said.

"Some UAH 42.1 billion [$1.6 billion] in tax payments was channeled into the national budget's general fund, which was 17.6%, or UAH 6.3 billion [$234.5 million] higher than last year. At the same time, the fund received UAH 25.6 billion [$953.1 million] in customs payments, which was UAH 1.1 billion [$41 million], or 4%, more than in February last year," the SFS said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, revenue of the national budget's general fund in 2018 increased by 15.2% from 2017, to UAH 729.4 billion ($27.2 billion), according to the SFS.

The national budget of Ukraine for 2019 set a target of UAH 917.9 billion ($34.2 billion) in total revenue and UAH 991.7 billion ($36.9 billion) in expenditures. The budget deficit was capped at UAH 80.6 billion ($3 billion), or 2.4% of GDP. Ukraine's state and government-guaranteed debt was capped at UAH 2.449 trillion ($91.2 billion).
