EBRD allocated EUR 13 bln for 410 Ukraine projects

The Ministry of Finance created a working group to speed up the implementation of these projects.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) over the period of cooperation financed 410 projects in Ukraine for a total amount of EUR 13 billion.

The list includes seven projects in the public sector worth EUR 1.577 billion, according to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

There are also such projects as rehabilitation of hydroelectric power plants, modernization of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline, completion of subway construction in the city of Dnipro, a comprehensive program to improve the safety of nuclear power plants, the construction of the Zaporizhia NPP-Kakhovka overhead line, improvement of the transport and operational state of roads near Kyiv, upgrading and increasing the capacity of compressor stations, and updating the fleet of equipment for the overhaul of Ukrgazvydobuvannya wells.

The Ministry of Finance created a working group chaired by Finance Minister Oksana Markarova to speed up the implementation of said projects.

The EBRD has been the largest international financial investor in Ukraine since 1993.
