Ukraine sees 3% increase in farm produce output in first two months

An increase in agricultural production in Ukraine in January-February 2019 was 3.2% compared to the same period last year.

In particular, agricultural enterprises for the reporting period boosted production by 7%, while individual households reduced agricultural production by 1.1%, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has said.

Agricultural production in February 2019 alone grew by 3.6% compared with February 2018, but decreased by 11.1% compared with January 2019.

The State Statistics Service noted that the data presented does not include information from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

According to UNIAN, the growth of agricultural production in 2018, according to preliminary data of the State Statistics Service, was 7.8% compared with 2017. In particular, agricultural enterprises increased production by 12.1%, while individual households saw a 2.2% rise.
