According to a government decree No. 63, published on its web portal, this list includes medicine, primarily for hemodialysis and treatment of cancer, as well as petroleum and other energy resources.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has finished consultations with international financial institutions on temporary measures to stabilize the balance of payments, providing for the imposition of additional duties of 5-10% for non-critical import products which will be in effect until the end of 2015.

Consultations were held in connection with the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada on December 28, 2014 of the law on measures to stabilize the balance of payments (No.1562), which envisages introduction of temporary import duties with regard to 100 commodity groups (at a rate of 5-10%), which is expected to help raise additional 17.6 billion USD of budget revenues.

During discussions of the bill introduced by the government, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk noted that the import duties would be imposed only after consultations with the representatives of the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.
