Dnipro-based Yuzhmash in the summer of 2017 announced the signing of a contract for the supply Zenit launch vehicles to a subsidiary of the Russian S7 group of companies. The contract provides for the creation of 12 launch vehicles, which were to be used, among other things, for launches from the Pacific Ocean (Sea Launch project).

Last week it became known that S7 plans to terminate the contract concluded two years ago.

As reported by UNIAN, Yuzhmash's press service commented on the situation: "At present, Yuzhmash does not have any official statement from the customer regarding the alleged termination of the contract. For its part, Yuzhmash does not intend to act as an initiator in this matter."

Yuzhmash is a party to a contract for the production of 12 Zenit space launch vehicles concluded in spring 2017. The customer is a U.S.-registered S7 Sea Launch Limited.
