Acting Chairman of Poltava Regional State Administration Roman Tovsty says about UAH 68 million (US$2.5 million) was spent on the airport's renovation. In particular, the runway was repaired, the lighting equipment was upgraded, and the terminal building was overhauled. About UAH 30 million ($1.1 million) is expected to be allocated from the state budget for renovating the runway.

In May, the airport is to launch flights to Turkey's Antalya, they will be carried out once a week.

It has a passenger terminal with a total area of about 5,000 square meters and a design capacity of 400 passengers per hour.
