The government once again blocked the advance of the new gas pipeline through its territory.
Denmark has decided not to authorize the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in its exclusive economic zone in the Baltic Sea.
"Gazprom saw another refusal from Denmark on the Nord Stream 2 route," Naftogaz press service reported via Twitter.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 12, the European Parliament adopted a new report on political relations with Russia, calling for a halt of construction of Nord Stream 2 and being ready to impose new sanctions.

The report notes that the Nord Stream 2 project may increase the EU’s dependence on Russian gas supplies and jeopardize Europe's internal market, and therefore the project should be terminated.
