Foreign trade in services was in surplus.
The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in commodities and services in January-February 2019 was estimated at US$1.292 billion, which was 5% up on the deficit reported year-over-year (y-o-y).
The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in commodities alone grew by 2%, to $1.312 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has reported.

At the same time, there was a surplus of foreign trade in services, yet, it was 66.7% down year-over-year, to $20 billion.
UNIAN memo. The NBU reported Ukraine's foreign trade in commodities and services in 2018 saw a deficit, which was estimated at US$11.492 billion, which was 32.9% up on 2017. At the same time, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine estimated Ukraine's foreign trade deficit in 2018 at $5.826 billion, which was 2.3 times up on the deficit posted in 2017.
