CEO of JoinUp tour operator Dmytro Seroukhov says Ukrainian-based SkyUp Airlines, a low-cost air carrier, which belongs to SkyUp LLC, plans in 2019 to increase its fleet from five to 12 aircraft.

"Today, SkyUp operates five aircraft, namely four Boeing 737-800 and one Boeing 737-700. Three more aircraft will be delivered in April: one Boeing 737-700 and two Boeing 737-800. So, we'll have eight planes in our fleet by the summer," he said on March 29, adding that the company is expected to increase its fleet to 12 aircraft in 2019.
UNIAN memo. An official presentation of SkyUp's low-cost segment was held in late 2017. The airline was supposed to launch the flights in April 2018. However, due to the delay in obtaining an operator certificate, it failed to do this. The first charter flights were launched only in late May. There were no regular flights, however.
SkyUp Airlines was registered in Kyiv in 2016. The founder of SkyUp was ACS-Ukraine LLC belonged to Tetiana Alba and Yuriy Alba, who also own the JoinUp tour operator.
