Production of rolled metal over the period under review increased by 1.3%, to 4.7 million tonnes, while pig iron output shrank by 2.1%, to 5.2 million tonnes, according to the association of ferrous metallurgy enterprises Ukrmetalurgprom.

As UNIAN reported earlier, steel production in Ukraine fell by 2% in 2018, to 21 million tonnes; rolled metal output rose by 1%, to 18.45 million tonnes, while pig iron production grew by 2%, to 20.53 million tonnes.
