Ukraine boosts fuel imports by 12% in first three months, Russia accounts for 41.5% of supplies

Russia and Belarus were major suppliers of petroleum products to Ukraine.

Fuel imports shipped to Ukraine in January-March 2019 were estimated at US$1.109 billion, which was 12% up year-over-year (y-o-y).

In particular, the country imported petroleum products worth $460 million from Russia (41.5% of total fuel imports), $413.5 million from Belarus (37.2%), $117.6 million from Lithuania (10.6%), and $118 million from the other countries, Ukraine's State Fiscal Service reported.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine increased foreign currency spending on fuel imports by 31% in 2018, to $5.5 billion.
