Maize exports from Ukraine in MY 2018-2019 may reach 29.5 million tonnes.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has raised its forecast for the maize yield in Ukraine in the 2018-2019 marketing year (MY, July 2018 through June 2019) by 305,000 tonnes compared to the March 2019 forecast, to 35.8 million tonnes.

Shipments of Ukrainian maize abroad in MY 2018-2019 may reach 29.5 million tonnes, which is 0.5 million tonnes up from the USDA's previous forecast for maize exports, the report said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine exported 39.375 million tonnes of grain in the 2017-2018 marketing year (MY, July 2017 through June 2018).
In 2018, Ukraine harvested a record high yield of grain, having threshed 70.1 million tonnes.
