Over 2,000 Ukrainians declare income as millionaires as of April 1

In total, UAH 24 billion, or over US$895.5 million, in income has been declared.

As of April 1, 2019, some 2,067 Ukrainian citizens declared their 2018 income exceeding UAH 1 million, or US$37,272, during the 2019 declaration campaign.

Ukrainians submitted almost 201,300 declarations of assets, which was 1.5 times up as of April 1, 2018, Ukraine's State Fiscal Service (SFS) said on April 11.

In total, citizens declared UAH 24 billion, or over US$895.5 million, in income, which was almost three times up year-over-year, it said.

Kyiv residents declared a significant amount of income (UAH 6.7 billion, or US$250 million). Residents of Dnipropetrovsk region declared UAH 2.8 billion (US$104.5 million), while those in Kharkiv, Kyiv and Lviv regions reported about UAH 1.3 billion (US$48.5 million) in each region.

May 2 is the deadline for Ukrainians to submit their declarations on property status and income, the press service added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian citizens declared UAH 73.1 billion ($2.7 billion) in income received in 2017 during the 2018 declaration campaign, which was 16% up from the previous campaign.

The number of millionaires was 18.6% up, to 4,817 people.
