Last year, remittances to Ukraine by Ukrainian migrant workers employed in Poland amounted to US$3.6 billion, according to Marcin Przydacz, the MFA Poland Undersecretary of State.

Speaking at the 12th Kyiv Security Forum, Przydacz noted that Poland had been steadily accepting Ukrainian migrant workers, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Over the past few years, the official said, thousands of Ukrainians benefited from the opportunities Poland is offering, transferring to their families the money earned.

In 2018 alone, the sum wired was $3.6 billion, which is "over 3% of Ukrainian GDP," the official said.
