Ukraine sees budget expenditures rise 10%

Budget revenues are 8.7% higher than those for the same period last year.

State Budget expenditures in the first quarter of 2019 amounted to UAH 236.6 billion, which is 10.4% higher than the figure for the same period in 2018, the Ministry of Finance reported.

The ministry recalled that State Budget revenues in the first quarter at UAH 210.5 billion are 8.7% higher than those recorded in the same period last year.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the State Budget of Ukraine in the first quarter was reduced to a deficit of UAH 25.3 billion, which is 23% higher year-on-year.

The 2019 State Budget lays down revenues at UAH 1.026 trillion and expenses – at UAH 1.112 trillion, with the deficit ceiling set at UAH 89.989 billion.
