Ukraine sees agriculture output grow by almost 3.4% in Q1

Agricultural enterprises alone increased production by 7.7%.

Agricultural output in Ukraine in January-March 2018 (Q1) rose by 3.4% year-over-year (y-o-y).

In particular, agricultural enterprises increased production by 7.7% over the period under review, while private farmers saw their output shrink by 1.5%, according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service.

The report does not include information from temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and certain areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, it said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's agricultural production grew by 7.8% in 2018 against 2017. In particular, agricultural enterprises boosted production by 12.1%, while private farmers increased their output by 2.2%, according to the service's preliminary data.
