The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the bill and regulations, which propose to ratify the agreement on a free trade area (FTA) between the governments of Ukraine and the State of Israel.

The decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reports.

Following that, the documents will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for approval, the ministry added.

"The ratification of the Ukraine-Israel Free Trade Agreement in the Verkhovna Rada will allow the completion of the internal procedures necessary for the agreement to enter into force. The ratification of the agreement will also contribute to the further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the State of Israel," reads the report.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on January 21, 2019, Ukraine's Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv and Israel's Minister of the Economy and Industry Eli Cohen signed an agreement on a free trade area between the two countries.
