Ukraine PM reports on success of small-scale privatization campaign

A total of 744 auctions has been held via a transparent ProZorro.Sale e-procurement system.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says revenues from the small-scale privatization campaign since its launch has totaled UAH 926 million (US$34.7 million).

"In the eight months since its launch, the small-scale privatization campaign has brought UAH 926 million to the state [budget]. A total of 744 auctions has been publicly held via the ProZorro.Sale electronic procurement system," he wrote on Facebook on April 18.

Groysman added that the campaign is an opportunity for the state to attract investors, while for businesses this is a chance to buy facilities on a competitive basis to develop their operations.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on January 2, the State Property Fund (SPF) of Ukraine approved a list of objects of "small-scale privatization" that are subject to sale in 2019.

It includes both new facilities and those that were not sold last year. In total, it's 792 objects, including 48 blocks of shares, 92 single property complexes, 190 facilities under construction, 402 separate properties, and 59 social and cultural facilities.

Assets of the small-scale privatization are real estate, small businesses whose nominal value does not exceed UAH 250 million ($9 million).

Revenue from the small-scale privatization campaign in January-February 2019 was estimated at UAH 150 million ($5.6 million).
