The Ukrainian Parliamentary Committee on Public Health will recommend that the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, pass bill No. 9073-1 in its first reading to ban flavoring additives not only in cigarettes, but also in rolling tobacco and cigarillos.

The relevant decision was made at a meeting on April 23, according to the Ukrainian Parliament's press service.
"During the meeting, the Members of Parliament noted the need to ban tobacco products with flavoring, since they, in particular, contribute to the popularization of such a bad habit as smoking among women and adolescents," the press service said in a statement.
The bill contains definitions of new products for smoking, it added.
Earlier, doctor Anton Shkiryak cited a statistical report saying that 21% of all deaths from cancer in Ukraine are caused by smoking.
