Naftogaz raises gas prices for industry from May 1

The ceiling prices of natural gas for industrial consumers will grow by 11.5%.

National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine will raise the minimum prices of natural gas for industrial consumers by 5% as of May 1, 2019, to UAH 7,558 ($283) per 1,000 cubic meters from UAH 7,188 ($269) per 1,000 cubic meters in April 2019.

At the same time, the maximum prices of natural gas for industrial consumers will be increased by 11.5% as of May 1, 2019, to UAH 8,337 ($312) per 1,000 cubic meters from UAH 7,749 ($290) per 1,000 cubic meters, the company said in a statement.

Naftogaz's quotations are differentiated depending on the volume of purchase and terms of payment, it said.

If a buyer has no debts before Naftogaz or intends to buy at least 50 million cubic meters of gas per month, the minimum price is applicable. In other cases, buyers are to pay a higher price.

All prices include VAT.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers and Naftogaz agreed to reduce the regulated gas price for households and thermal power plants for May 2019, to UAH 8,247 (US$309) per 1,000 cubic meters from UAH 8,550 ($320).

Naftogaz develops oil and gas fields, produces crude oil and natural gas. Its core business is also transportation and trade in fuel through its own network of filling stations.
