The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) plans in 2019 to double investment into Ukraine's economy to US$1 billion.

"This $0.5 billion that we injected last year looks quite good against the background of the total volume of investment. This year we hope to increase this amount by almost twice. But it will be very important for us that steps that can scare businesses wouldn't be taken, because it will mean that we'll have no one to support," Deputy Head of the EBRD in Ukraine Marina Petrov said at a forum on April 25.

Over the period of cooperation, EBRD has financed 410 projects in Ukraine totaling EUR 13 billion, including seven projects worth EUR 1.577 billion in the state sector.
