Alcoholic beverages price hikes are expected within 6%-9%.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) expects that tobacco prices in Ukraine in 2019 may grow by 19% due to an increase in excise tax.

The said component will make the largest contribution to administered consumer prices, according to the NBU inflation report for April, published on its website.
The central bank also says alcoholic beverages may rise in price within 6%-9% annually in 2019-2021.
At the same time, the regulator estimates a further annual increase in fuel prices at around 5% with unchanged excise tax rates.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank maintained its forecast for inflation in Ukraine at 6.3% in 2019, as well as at 5% in 2020 and 2021 each.
