Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olga Trofimtseva says Ukraine in January-March 2019 (Q1) boosted exports of agricultural products to the European Union states by 24.4%, while imports grew by 9.9%.

"Over the period under review, shipments of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU countries have risen by 24.4% year-over-year (y-o-y), to US$1.88 billion," she wrote on Facebook on May 10.

Meanwhile, farm produce imports in Q1 totaled $734.6 million, having increased by 9.9% y-o-y.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine has exported 42.4 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops since the beginning of the current marketing year (MY), which is 25% up from the previous MY.
