The hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, in April strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 2.6% to UAH 26.49.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on Friday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by four kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 26.20 to the dollar.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for May 11:
US$100 costs UAH 2,620.5887 (UAH 2,624.9550 as of May 10);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2942.9211 (UAH 2,940.4746 as of May 10).
As UNIAN reported earlier, the hryvnia, Ukraine's national currency, in April strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 2.6% to UAH 26.49 (at the official rate of the National Bank of Ukraine/NBU), and rose against the euro by 3.5%, up to UAH 29.49.
In January-April 2019, the hryvnia strengthened against the dollar by 4.3%, while rising against the euro by 7%.
