Ukrainian Ministry of Finance has issued T-bills for the further capitalization of National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz Ukrainy with UAH 17.2 billion, according to the statement on Web site of the Ukrainian central bank.
It is planned to increase the authorized capital of Naftogaz Ukrainy by means of issuance of bonds to a total of UAH 31.5 billion.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the average yield on treasury securities amounts to 14.5% per annum.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the government of Ukraine decided to increase the authorized capital of Naftogaz Ukrainy by UAH 31.5 billion through issuing T-bills to pay for imported gas.
According to the cabinet’s decision, the securities are to be issued with maturities of up to 10 years and yields of 14.5% per annum.
In August 2014, Naftogaz was further capitalized by UAH 63.272 billion through an issue of T-bills.
Most of the proceeds were spent on purchase and provisioning $3.1 billion on the accounts of Naftogaz for the repayment of outstanding debts to Russia’s Gazprom.
