The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday dropped the hryvnia’s value by UAH 1.05, setting the Ukrainian currency’s official exchange rate at UAH 23.29 to the dollar, while on Tuesday the Ukrainian currency’s official exchange rate was at UAH 22.24 to the dollar.
As of 1400 the central bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies:
$100 – UAH 2,329.6787 (as of 1400 on March 17 it was UAH 2,224.6866);
EUR 100 – UAH 2,477.6133 (as of 1400 on March 17 it was UAH 2,348.6016);
10 Russian rubles – UAH 3.7727 (as of 1400 on March 17 it was UAH 3.5796).
As UNIAN reported earlier, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market on Wednesday fell to UAH 22.93/23.20 to the dollar.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 1200 was UAH 23.2205 to the dollar, with 15 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $7.72 million.
