State-owned coal mines alone reduced coal production by 18.6%.
Ukraine saw a 9.2% reduction in production of thermal and coking coal in January-April 2019 year-over-year (y-o-y), to 10.2 million tonnes.
In particular, thermal coal production in the first four months fell by 5.3% y-o-y, to 8.59 million tonnes, Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry said.

Over the period under review, state-owned coal mines alone reduced coal production by 18.6%, to 1.26 million tonnes.
As UNIAN reported earlier, production of thermal and coking coal in Ukraine grew by 0.9% in 2018 from 2017, to 33.29 million tonnes.
