Volume of disbursed capital investments in Ukraine in Jan-March up 17.8%

Experts predict continued positive trends in the investment sector.

The volume of capital investment in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2019 increased by 17.8% year-on-year, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported on its Facebook page.

"Capital investments have been growing for the fourth year in a row. In the first quarter of 2019, an increase in the volume of disbursed capital investments amounted to 17.8%. And this is despite their record increase of up to 37.4% in the first quarter of 2018," the report says.

It is noted that the high level of investment activity in this year's first quarter was due to continued reforms in the economy, restoration of macroeconomic stability, revitalization of lending, and increased investment attractiveness.

The report also said experts predict continued positive trends in the investment sector.

At the same time, the volume of capital investments in monetary terms has not been indicated.

As UNIAN reported, the volume of foreign direct investment in Ukraine's economy (share capital of non-residents) in January-March 2019 increased by $45.5 million, or 0.1%, to $32.918 billion.
