Relevant rumors are lies and attempts to intimidate voters ahead of the election, said the head of government.
The Ukrainian gas transmission system is a strategic asset. It cannot and must not be privatized," Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman told one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
"I'm saying this unequivocally: Ukraine's GTS cannot and must not be privatized. It should be owned by the state," Groysman said, according to the government portal.

"I guarantee that neither I nor the government made any decisions in this regard," said Groysman.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on June 14, Ukrtransgaz, Ukraine's gas transmission system operator, said that it was not able to ensure timely payments on contracts for the purchase of process purpose gas due to a shortage of funds, which threatened the system's stable operations from June 24.
