The report says Switzerland is already engaged in joint bioenergy projects with Ukraine.
The Ukrainian government delegation has paid a visit to Switzerland to discuss new economic opportunities for partnership in energy efficiency, green enedgy, and energy processing of waste, that's according to the Ukrainian Cabinet website.
The discussion took place during the "Ukraine 2019: New Economic Horizons, New Business Opportunities" round table in Zurich and the 12th meeting of the Ukrainian-Swiss Joint Committee in Bern, said a statement on the government's website.

Accoreding to Serhiy Savchuk, chief of Ukraine's State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, Ukraine has created favorable legislation and market conditions for the development of green energy and the entire field of energy efficiency, with over EUR 2.7 billion in investment attracted over the past 5 years.

Following talks, Ukraine's delegation agreed to establish close cooperation with relevant agencies in Switzerland on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The plan is also to work out the possibilities for implementing joint projects with Switzerland in the following areas: introduction of new renewable power plants, installation of solid fuel boilers, bioCHPs, implementation of energy service projects, implementation of energy efficiency projects in industry, and construction of plants transforming waste into energy.
