The unemployment rate in Ukraine in January-March 2019 (Q1) grew to 9.2%, or 1.6 million people, from 8.8% reported in 2018.

The number of employed people, aged 15-70, was 16.3 million in Q1, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.
Over the period under review, the employment rate among Ukrainians aged 15-70 was 57.1%.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the unemployment rate in Ukraine in 2018 dropped to 8.8% from 9.9% reported in 2017, to 1.578 million people, according to the State Statistics Service.
