Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalia Jaresko on Wednesday signed a loan agreement with the Canadian export agency worth CAD 200 million ($158 million), according to a report posted on the Finance Ministry’s Web site.
According to the posting, the funds are to be attracted for five years at a rate of 1.43% per annum.
Earlier the government reported that Ukraine was going to attract a CAD 200 million loan within the framework of the program for external borrowing envisaged in the state budget for 2015.
The state budget for 2015 envisages the attraction of UAH 293.836 billion in government borrowing, with domestic borrowing envisaged at UAH 112.866 billion, and external borrowing seen at UAH 180.97 billion, or $11.5 billion at the official rate of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The volume of public debt in the state budget for 2015 is estimated at UAH 158.88 billion, including external debt of UAH 97.6 billion, and domestic debt of UAH 61.270 billion.
