The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in June 2019 bought US$322.3 million on the interbank forex market to replenish the country's international reserves.
In particular, in the first week, the NBU bought $102.7 million, whereas it purchased $135.1 million in the second week, $40.5 million in the third, and $44 million in the fourth, according to the regulator's website.
The National Bank did not sell the currency over the period under review.

Since the beginning of the year, the central bank's purchases of foreign currency have exceeded its sales by seven times, or by $1.408 billion, it said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the central bank in May 2019 bought $160.6 million on the interbank forex market to replenish the country's international reserves. The regulator bought $203.6 million, while sold $43 million during that month.
