The growth in the number of Ukrainian tourists traveling to European destinations is expected to be at 20-25% this summer.
On Sunday, June 30, 2019, 79 charter and regular flights to foreign resorts departed from Ukraine, setting the record in the new summer tourist season.
"In particular, 37 charters were made to Turkey (Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Izmir), 15 charters to Egypt (Marsa Alam, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh), the rest – 27 flights to European resorts," as reported by Travel Press Club on Facebook.
Director of the Center for Tourism Development of Ukraine Volodymyr Tsaruk told UNIAN 36 flights to Turkey and Egypt from Kyiv were considered a record last year.

"At that time, 20-24 flights to Turkey and 10-12 flights to Egypt departed from the capital daily, But this year, the number of flights increased from regions such as Kharkiv and Lviv. And, of course, there was an increase in chartered flights to European destinations, 80-85% of them departing from Kyiv," he said.
Travel Press Club also says the growth in the number of Ukrainian tourists traveling to European destinations is expected to be at 20-25% this summer.
In particular, Spain (Barcelona, Tenerife), Greece (Thessaloniki), Bulgaria (Burgas) and Montenegro (Tivat) are showing the most rapid growth. Also, the number of flights to one of the most popular French resorts of the Cote d'Azur, Nice, has doubled.
