In particular, 7.3 million tonnes of winter wheat was threshed from 2.1 million ha, or 32% of the plan; 3.6 million tonnes of barley from 1.1 million ha (43%), and 402,000 tonnes of peas from 187,000 ha (66%), the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service said.
In addition, Ukrainian farmers threshed 2,000 tonnes of rye from 600 ha, or 0.5% of the plan; and 1,500 tonnes of oats from 1,000 ha (0.4%).
Agrarians also threshed 1.1 million tonnes of winter rapeseed from a 519,000-hectare area (40% of the target).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian farmers on May 2 completed a campaign to sow early spring crops on 2.1 million ha.
In 2018, Ukraine harvested a record high yield of grains, having threshed 70.1 million tonnes.
