In particular, 8.6 million tonnes of winter wheat was threshed from 2.5 million ha, or 37% of the plan; 4.1 million tonnes of barley from 1.2 million ha (49%), and 447,000 tonnes of peas from 204,000 ha (71%), the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service said.
In addition, Ukrainian farmers threshed 5,000 tonnes of rye from 2,000 ha, or 2% of the plan; and 2,000 tonnes of oats from 1,000 ha (1%).
Agrarians also threshed 1.4 million tonnes of winter rapeseed from a 649,000-hectare area (50% of the target).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian farmers on May 2 completed a campaign to sow early spring crops on 2.1 million ha.
In 2018, Ukraine harvested a record high yield of grains, having threshed 70.1 million tonnes.
