Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has every opportunity to pump at least 20 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas into underground storage facilities at an affordable price to use it in the autumn-winter period, without increasing the price for consumers.

"What is important is that they pump 20 bcm at today's price, and there will be no need to raise the price for the next heating period, and we can fix the price at the level of August-September. I think it will be optimal, and lower than it was during the last heating season," he told one of the Ukrainian TV channels.

The prime minister added Naftogaz has the necessary amount of funds to purchase gas.

"There is money to buy gas to cover the entire heating season in the amount of 20 bcm, which is 3 billion more than last year, and Naftogaz was able to attract it," he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 12, Naftogaz of Ukraine placed five-year eurobonds for EUR 600 million at 7.125% and three-year eurobonds for $335 million at 7.375%

On July 5, Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev said entering the eurobond market would attract funds for pumping gas into storage facilities and pay dividends to the government.
