A total of 12 million tonnes of winter wheat was threshed, which is 51% of the forecast volume.
Ukrainian farmers harvested 17.4 million tonnes of early grains from 5.1 million hectares as of July 15, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
In particular, 12 million tonnes of winter wheat was threshed from 3.3 million hectares, which is 51% of the plan, with an average yield of 35.9 c/ha; 4.9 million tonnes of barley from 1.5 million hectares, or 61% of the plan, with a yield of 32.4 c/ha; 497,000 tonnes of peas from 223,000 hectares, or 78% of the plan, with a yield of 22.3 c/ha.
In addition, Ukrainian agrarians as of today threshed 16,000 tonnes of rye from 6,000 hectares (5%), and 5,000 tonnes of oats from 2,000 hectares (1%).

Also, according to the ministry, 1.9 million tonnes of winter rapeseed was threshed from 838,000 hectares, or 65% of the forecast.
As UNIAN reported, on May 2, Ukrainian farmers completed planting early spring crops, having sown 2.1 million hectares.
Grain harvest in Ukraine in 2018 amounted to a record 70.1 million tonnes.
