Ten eggs on the average cost US$0.5 in June.
Prices of eggs in Ukraine almost halved in value in the past year, as ten eggs in June 2019 cost UAH 13, or US$0.5 on the average, which is 43% down year-over-year.
"Eggs are the only product of animal origin that has fallen in price over the year, prices of other foods have grown. Chicken prices have increased the most – by 20%, and prices of fish and butter have increased by 12%," the TV news service TSN said.

As was reported earlier, the price of white bread grew by one third and that of rye bread by 40% in the past year.
Experts say that an increase in prices of main bread ingredients – flour, sugar, eggs, milk, as well as an increase in energy prices are the causes behind this.
