Gerus: Negotiations on new cooperation program with IMF scheduled for September

Presidential Representative in the Cabinet of Ministers, Andriy Gerus, said that negotiations on a new cooperation program with the International Monetary Fund were scheduled for September.

"I'll be meeting this week with an IMF representative ... Now the previous program is actually completed, a little ahead of time. There will be talks on the new program in September. What points will be set in the memorandum will depend on the results of the negotiations," Gerus said, speaking at the Servant of the People party HQ, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

"In my opinion, the price of gas should not be included in the memorandum as a key condition," he said.

According to him, the price of gas is already a political issue, and often it is speculated on.

"Definitely, it will be necessary to reach a position that will allow further cooperation with the IMF," Gerus said.
