Ukraine's State Fiscal Service (SFS) that is now undergoing the liquidation procedure carried out 10,600 inspections of taxpayers in January-June 2019, as a result of which they were obliged to additionally pay UAH 20.3 billion, or US$792 million, in taxes and fees to the national budget.
Of the amount, UAH 6.6 billion, or US$257.5 million, in additional tax payments were confirmed by taxpayers, the sum includes UAH 1.8 billion (US$70.2 million) in corporate profit tax and UAH 1.9 billion (US$74.1 million) in value-added tax (VAT), the SFS's press service said.

The SFS's audit departments alone collected an additional amount of UAH 5.4 billion, or US$210.7 million.
As UNIAN reported, the SFS's cash circulation monitoring units in 2018 conducted 16,900 inspections, the results of which business entities were fined UAH 937.6 million, or US$36.58 million.
