The principles of the Open Skies agreement are to be in place at Lviv’s Danylo Halytskyi International Airport from April 2, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andriy Pyvovarskiy said at a briefing on Thursday.
"From April 2 we unilaterally opened the skies at Lviv International Airport for all air carriers on the basis of bilateral agreements. Anyone who receives permission from the aviation authorities in their country will be able to fly freely to Lviv International Airport," he said.
"In the coming days the State Air Service of Ukraine will inform the representatives of European countries, the countries of the Caucasus and the Commonwealth of Independent States on holding an experiment at the airport using the Open Skies principles," Pyvovarskiy said.
